The Queens Voc Action Team traveled to Philadelphia in September to participate in a multi-state community service project at a Volunteers of America support center.  Twenty-two QV students, primarily members of the school's varsity baseball team, worked to build picnic tables, planters, and a shed for the center.  The volunteers joined Major Leaguers Jerad Eickhoff, Tommy Joseph, and Adam Morgan of the Phillies in the community service project.
